The 61.5 MW Grassridge Wind Farm is located on a site that is owned by Pretoria Portland Cement Company, situated on Addo Road (R 335) within the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality in the Eastern Cape.

Investors: EDF Renewables, Industrial Development Corporation and Grassridge Winds of Change BBBEE Co.
Energy Offtaker: Eskom (Single Buyer Office)
EPC/O&M contractor: Vestas Southern Africa
Construction period: Approx. 14 months (October 2013 to December 2014)
Commercial operations: June 2016
No. of turbines: 20 x Vestas V112 – 3.075 MW turbines

Under the Grassroots Youth Development (GYD) Programme, the Grassridge Wind Farm contributes up to 2.1 % of its revenues towards Socio-Economic and Enterprise Development initiatives that are located within a 50 km radius to the wind facility.
